CERTIFIED HALAL SCIENTIFIC EXECUTIVE PROGRAMME (CHASEP) – collaboration with Halal Industry Development Corporation (HDC) and JAKIM

INTRODUCTION

The escalating demand for halal certified products and services has exceeded RM 2 trilion in the global market. Due to the rapid expansion of the halal industry locally and globally, there is  are a need for relevant human capital and technological application alternatives to support the demand of Halal Management using latest development of current technology. As many as 3000 halal executives are required to fill up various food industries and related areas in order to explicitly execute the halal product chains locally.

Utilising the lands on expertise in UniKL MICET, latest biotechnological input from Biotechcorp and long term collaborative programme with HDC, the Certified Scientific Executive Halal programme is uniques and fulfils the demanding requirements of food and services industries. While  the programme covers four importants cores: Halal technology, Shariah, Law & Standars and Auditing & Halal Analysis, the programme also provides a distinctive strength in Halal alternative technologies to existing noncomliance practices in Food Processing Technologies, covering Food, Beverages, Nutraceutical and Pharmaceutical

The objective of this programme is to produce competent Halal Executives equipped with scientific knowledge and technological advances to serves the dynamic industrial sectors and regulatory and other government bodies relevant to Halal activities. The programme covers four important cores; Halal Technology, Shariah, Law and Standard, Auditing and Halal Analysis, the programme also provides a distinctive strength in halal alternative technologies to existing non-compliance practices in Food Processing technologies, covering Food, Beverages, nutraceuticals and Pharmaceutical products. The programme is recognized by Halal Industry Development Corporation (HDC) and JAKIM.

Who Should Attend

  • Final semester Muslims students pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Life Sciendce or other related ares from local universities.
  • Muslims graduated who possess Bachelor's Degree in Food technology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Engineering or other relevant field of studies
  • Muslims graduated currently working in industries requiring Halal Management
  • Must be higly committed and enthusiaastic to learn and contribute progressively to the Halal industries.

CONTENTS OF TRAINING

An intensive 6-months consist of 2 modules:

1. Module A: Classroom Training -Halal matters and issues (8 weeks)

2. Module B: Practical and laboratory practices (12 weeks)

3. Industrial Internship (8 weeks)
