PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

The programme involves water and air pollution control, recycling, waste disposal, and public health issues. Graduates from this programme conduct hazardous-waste management studies to evaluate the significance of the such hazards, advise on treatment and containment and develop regulations to prevent mishaps.


PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO)

The Diploma of Engineering Technology in Environment graduates, two to five years into their careers:

i.    Are knowledgeable, competent, and innovative, which will contribute towards the human capital in the technology related industry.

ii.    Have effective leadership and team work skills as well as verbal, non-verbal and interpersonal communication skills to support their role in industry.

iii.    Are committed to the importance of lifelong learning and continuous improvement.

iv.    Will practice professionalism with ethics and social responsibility.

v.    Are capable of embarking on business and technopreneurial activities.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
LOCAL STUDENTS

A pass in SPM/SPMV with at least five (5) credits in the following subjects:

  1. Bahasa Melayu,

  2. Mathematics,

  3. One Science or Technical Subjects

  4. and two other subjects;

  5. and at least pass in English.

OR

Possess a Certificate from IKM/ILP recognized by the Senate or other certificates recognized by the Senate in relevant fields with a CGPA of 2.0 and above; and at least a pass in Bahasa Melayu at SPM level.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Minimum qualification : "O" Level or equivalent with at leat gred C in 5 subjects 

AND

Fullfill UniKL's minimum english requirement

** English Requirements

All international students will have to take an English Placement Test (EPT) upon arrival at Universiti Kuala Lumpur unless students have taken IELTS and TOEFL.
